Explaining Play to Parents: Before encouraging parents to actively "play" with their children, we need to spend some time teaching them exactly what "play" is. AND... since parents, like their children, learn best by doing, we will share some awesome ways to encourage parents to have fun "playing!" Together, we will design a definition for the word "play," and we can then move forward to encourage our parents to PLAY with their children. In addition, once parents catch the CBS "play bug," they will have a new-found respect and understanding for the way in which their children are learning in your schools... through play, of course!!!!
HAPPY GRAMS: Do YOU know what a HAPPY GRAM really is???? Let's go a step further, do YOU know what a CREATIVE BEGINNING STEPS HAPPY GRAM really is???? Come along and join Miss Lois as we define and create Happy Grams for our staff, extending the process to include parents. Happy Grams are unexpected, simple notes of thanks, and yet, in many ways, they are SO much more. Happy Grams build staff morale and encourage staff to really push themselves to reach for the gold. They cause huge smiles and bring warm fuzzies to your staff. BUT... BEWARE... CBS Happy Grams are extremly contagious and within a short period of time, you might find yourself wanting to send a Happy Gram to a parent or a student... and Directors, your staff might even send you a Happy Gram! How awesome!!!!
