Each activity stresses the CREATIVE process, rather than the end-product. Projects contain simple instructions, which are only the beginning and can easily be expanded upon by the teacher.
Children will be introduced to art as they are encouraged to create without "traditional" brushes, but rather, they will have FUN experimenting with bubble wands, balloons, dog toys, squishy balls, kitchen tools, and SO much more.
CREATIVE BEGINNING STEPS TO READING continues the climb up the Beginning Steps' ladder with a CREATIVE twist added to reading. Readers will meet Brett, the Bear, Kasey, an Alphabeteer, and a Sound Detective, while Hanging Laundry, playing Hot Potatoe on the ladder, and designing a Recycled Canister Book. SIMPLE reading activities are offered, all of which are FUN and CREATIVE. Lois includes parent letters, suggestions for extending the activities, and even some pictures of the REAL thing.
Whether you are creating art masterpieces or imagining at the reading carpet, your children will learn through play.
