THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD
Journey into the pre-school and Kindergarten classrooms, as Miss Lois encourages participants to look at life "Through the Eyes of a Child."  Following a before school activity, we'll join together for an innovative Creative Beginning Steps' morning circle, as we sing songs, tell a story or two, and learn some cool "stuff."
As circle time winds down, we will be introduced to some creative transition activites, while moving onto our reading carpet.  While there, we will encounter an interactive letter chart, play games with a letter bucket, and meet Brett, the Bear.
In an attempt to bring together reading and art, participants will use their morning scratch art to tell a story, sequence events, count, learn colors, build vocabulary, socialize with friends, and become authors.   Depending on the Keynote's time-frame, we may go outside, play with math or science, or crate at the open-ended art table.
BUT... whatever we do, we will end our visit with an end of the day circle.  This simple addition to our day will bring closure, remind children of the wonderful activities we shared, and give them some pixie-dust to bring excitement with them to tomorrow's class.
